Hey everyone! My name is Terrence, but please feel free to call me Tee! I’m a Multimedia Journalist, content creator, and music producer coming to you straight from the heart of Delaware County in Chester, Pennsylvania.
I am currently a graduate student pursuing a Master of Arts in New Media Journalism at Full Sail University, where I am expanding my skills in multimedia storytelling. My goal is to create journalism that informs local towns near me, amplifies local voices, and makes local issues more accessible and easier to understand through storytelling.
Pennsylvania Talks is currently focused on serving Southeastern Pennsylvania, with plans to expand its coverage as I continue exploring communities and stories across the Commonwealth.
Career History
My professional experience is in journalism, broadcasting, media, and content creation. Most recently, my experience in the newsroom began in 2022 after graduating from Rust College.
I worked for WHYY, a PBS affiliate in Philadelphia, as a Street Team Assistant. As a Street Team Assistant, I did face-to-face marketing throughout the Philadelphia, Delaware, and New Jersey coverage areas. I also had the chance to do photography for Billy Penn during WHYY street team and tailgating events in Philadelphia.
I left in August 2023 when TEGNA offered me the opportunity to work as a Producer-in-Residence in York, Pennsylvania. As a Producer-in-Residence with FOX43, I gained experience producing news content and collaborating in a fast-paced newsroom environment. I had the chance to learn how to collect video, produce newscasts in ENPS, and work in a great environment with like-minded journalists.
Today, I am building Pennsylvania Talks, an independent digital news platform focused on covering local government, public safety, community events, and stories that matter throughout Delaware County. Through Pennsylvania Talks, I am committed to earning the trust of my community by providing ethical, accessible, and community-centered journalism while continuing to grow as a multimedia storyteller.
Education
In May 2022, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications (Broadcast Journalism) from Rust College, the first Historical Black College in the state of Mississippi.
I also completed an Associate of Arts in Music Production through The Los Angeles Film School in March 2026. At Los Angeles Film School, I developed technical skills in audio engineering, music production, and digital media using Ableton, Logic, and Pro Tools.
Directly after, I enrolled in Full Sail University, where I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in New Media Journalism. Through this program, I am strengthening my abilities in multimedia reporting, digital storytelling, audience development, social media strategy, and entrepreneurial journalism while continuing to build my own independent news organization. Through Pennsylvania Talks, I hope to earn the trust of my community while exploring new stories, discovering new places, and highlighting the people who make Pennsylvania unique.
Personal Details
I enjoy combining creativity with community service through journalism, music, and digital storytelling. Outside of work and school, you’ll usually find me producing music, playing video games, attending community events, exploring local stories, or learning new ways to improve my reporting and multimedia production skills.
I believe journalism is at its best when it helps people understand their communities and empowers them with accurate, meaningful information. Whether I’m covering a city council meeting, producing multimedia content, or creating music, I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, create, and make a positive impact on others.
